Reorganization is a big part of spring cleaning in my home. Since I married my husband 2 and half years ago I’ve been slowly working on eliminating the clutter that came along with my hoarding husband. (OK he’s not that bad but he is a collector.) I’m very proud of him for all the de-cluttering and organizing he’s done so far. We living a small townhouse where space is premium and his 300+ count Star Wars figurine collection is daunting. Fortunately we are working out a great organization system thanks to Mabel’s Labels.
I find that clear plastic storage containers work best for storing all of our various collections. Labeling them is essential to keeping everything tidy and in place. Now Joe’s Star Wars toys have a nice, safe home under the stairs.
Once we started labeling things it just kept going and now we have our knitting materials, crafting, winter clothes, old baby clothes, maternity clothes, tools and much more all neatly organized and labeled.
About Mabel’s Labels
Mabel’s Labels was developed by a group of moms who were frustrated by the amount of stuff that left their houses, never to return. After lots of research and testing they created the perfect fun, durable labels for the stuff kids lose!
Their sticky labels and clothing labels, which are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, are not only practical, but also designed to be very special to each child. The labels are customized with a child’s name, favorite mix of colors and an icon (animal, symbol, etc.). They have also expanded their product line to include personalized stationery products, ID wristbands and household labels.

Joe prefers to wear is wallet in his front pocket. Apparently, sitting on a wallet in your back pocket can cause pack pain. Also, it’s safe to keep it in your front pocket. But with the addition of his cell phone and keys that makes for full pockets. I knew they made wallets that were…
Jude loves to play with my iPhone but he’s only allowed to play with it on special occasions so I try to make it a big deal. I love that there are so many educational games for kids available on the iPhone. Companies like Infantino realize the need for fun and educational games created specifically…
This morning I took the boys to Sesame Street Live at the PNC Arena in Raleigh. We had a great time dancing along with our favorite Sesame Street characters like Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster and Big Bird. The Let’s Dance show gave kids and their parents the opportunity to dance throughout the show encouraging everyone…
Right after Joe and I were married about a beautiful print from an artist on Etsy, Arian Armstrong. I bought the My Favorite Thing Print, because Joe and I always say, “you’re my favorite” to each other. We have the My Favorite Thing print hanging in our bedroom and it’s probably one of my favorite…
I’m all about saving money, especially when it comes to grocery shopping. I used to be a die-hard coupon user but with 3 little boys I don’t have the time to clip coupons every week. However, I still watch for good sales on products we already buy and if I can use digital coupons, even…
If you have a gadget freak on your Christmas wish list you should get them the Roku, especially if they like television. We considered getting on for my dad (he’s so hard to shop for) but as soon as we mentioned it to him he went out and bought one for himself. We received the…
