The Snowman’s Song written by Marilee Joy Mayfield and illustrated by Tracy La Rue Hohn is a wonderful book about the magic of Christmas. The story is inspiring and encourages your child to find their unique gifts. The illustrations are just beautiful and I love the way the wind is expressed with swirls. The book also comes with an Audio CD read by Marilee Joy Mayfield which is so pleasant to listen to especially when you don’t feel like reading a bedtime story after a long day. Leaping Antelope Productions will be be giving a book to an underpriviledged family for every sale of The Snowman’s Song they make this year.
About The Snowman’s Song
Witness a miracle this Christmas…
A forlorn little snowman hopes, prays and yearns with all his heart for a beautiful melodic voice so he can rejoice by singing Christmas carols just like human children do. There is little hope that he will ever have a voice, because the snow world is quiet and snowpeople communicate by sensing thoughts and feelings that travel as ice droplets in the swirling cold winter air. But when a cheery red cardinal awakens his mind and a kind young girl renews his hope, a Christmas miracle happens and the little snowman realizes his longed-for dream in a powerful, joyful, unexpected way.

My boys love raisins, they eat them almost every day. They are the perfect on-the-go, healthy snack. I often pack raisins in Jude’s school lunch. Occasionally I will make a fun after-school treat, Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Ingredients Directions In a large bowl cream butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla In a separate bowl whisk…
When I was young I would spend my summer vacations with my grandparents. I have many fond memories of my summer days spent with Mema and Pepa, most of which involve food. In the afternoon we would snack on saltine crackers and cheese with a side of Mt. Olive Sweet Petite Pickles. To this day…
I love that Scotties Facial Tissues is such a large supporter of organizations like The Pine Street Inn which provides shelter for the homeless. January was a great month for 100 homeless people in Boston who are now living in permanent supportive housing thanks to the generosity of The Pine Street Inn. The Pine Street…
My boys love fruit. When the box of Lil Snappers fruit arrived I unpacked the contents and left it on the kitchen table. Soon after the boys discovered the haul of fruit they devoured 2 mandarin oranges and an apple, each! I had to move the fruit to higher ground so they wouldn’t spoil their…
One thing that frustrates me to know end with Maternity clothes is how nothing seems to stay in place. My pants are always falling down and my shirts are always riding up. I haven’t yet found a remedy for constantly pulling up my pants but thanks to Bashful Bump I can stop pulling my shirt…
One of my favorite memories of newborn Jude was his first bath. We gave him a little bird bath in the bathroom sink. It was a memory I will never forget. While bathing him in the sink was much easier than putting him in the tub it still had it’s draw backs. A wet tiny…
