The Best Quick-Service at Animal Kingdom
Satu’li Canteen
If you are searching for delicious and nutritious food options, Satu’li Canteen is the perfect place. Situated in Pandora – World of Avatar, Satu’li Canteen boasts a wide selection of Pandora-themed dishes, some of the healthiest options you will find in all of Disney World. Satu’li Canteen’s signature dish is its build-your-own bowls, which include your choice of beef, chicken, shrimp, or tofu with your preferred base and sauce.
What to Order
The Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl and the Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl offer a unique option. But, the “Create-Your-Own-Bowl” option is probably the most popular on the menu as it lets you select a protein, base, and sauce.
Flame Tree Barbecue
If you love barbecue, Flame Tree Barbecue near DinoLand, U.S.A., is a must-visit in Animal Kingdom. As the name suggests, Flame Tree is the go-to barbecue spot in the park. While you can enjoy the delicious ribs and pulled pork, you can also find chicken and mac & cheese here.
Flame Tree Barbecue is a favorite among many visitors who prefer traditional barbecue over the customizable bowls available at Satu’li Canteen. However, the highlight of Flame Tree Barbecue is more than just the delicious food. The restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating with fantastic views of Discovery River Lagoon, making it an ideal place to relax.
What to Order
The BBQ ribs, chicken, and pulled pork are a must-try at Flame Tree Barbeque. But don’t forget about the mac and cheese, one of the best on Disney World property.
Harambe Market
Harambe Market is a quick-service restaurant located on the east side of Africa. It offers a range of bowls, including the Chicken and Shrimp Rice Bowl or the Shrimp Rice Bowl, making it an excellent option for those looking to eat a bit healthier. Vegetarians and vegans may enjoy the plant-based Impossible Kofta Pita, which is delightful. One of the best things about Harambe Market is its decor, which is enhanced by various small “street art” pieces around the outdoor seating area.
What to Order
The best things to order at Harambe Market are shrimp or chicken bowls and Mediterranean-style salad.
Yak and Yeti Local Food Café
If you love Asian food, check out Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe. They serve classic Asian dishes like teriyaki beef bowls, egg rolls, and fried rice. It is located just outside the Yak and Yeti restaurant in the Asia Pavilion. Yak and Yeti is a fusion restaurant that combines American and Asian cuisine. They offer dishes like the American Kobe Cheeseburger with Asian Pickles and the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich.
Although the menu is not extraordinary and the location and seating are nothing special, Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe is trying to offer a bit more than the last three restaurants on the list. You can find Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe in the Asia land, near the path that leads to Kali River Rapids. A table service option is also available in the same area called “Yak & Yeti.”
What to Order
The side pork egg rolls have a nice crispy exterior with a filling of cabbage, carrots, and pork and a lovely orange sauce. The rib tips have a nice smokey flavor with a hint of spice. The Korean fried chicken sandwich offers a bit of heat with a delicious kimchi slaw.
Restaurantosaurus
If you have a lot of picky eaters in your family, Restaurantosaurus is the place to dine for lunch or dinner. This quick-service restaurant offers typical theme park food such as burgers, chicken fingers, and fries. The atmosphere is fun, particularly for kids, and plenty of seats are available. Additionally, for those over 21 years old and looking for an adult beverage, the Restaurantosaurus Lounge is attached to the restaurant. Restaurantosaurus has impressive theming with a backstory for every inch of the restaurant. For those over 21 years old who would like an adult beverage, the Restaurantosaurus Lounge is located next to the restaurant. While you won’t find unique options on the menu, every theme park needs a good burger spot.
What to Order
The food at Restaurantosaurus is ideal for picky eaters, with options like chicken tenders, burgers, and fries. The Impossible spicy southwestern burger is tasty and suitable for vegan and vegetarian diners.
