Most Popular Quick Service Restaurants at Disney World Parks

·

There are many things to consider while planning your Walt Disney World vacation. Choosing where to eat should be part of your planning, as when to visit the parks and take a rest day. Walt Disney World has many fantastic restaurants, but not all of them will suit your needs. Quick-service restaurants at Disney World provide far more than your standard fast food. Some of the best meals at Disney are from quick-service restaurants.

Each Disney World theme park has many tasty, quick-service locations, but which are the most popular? And are these popular quick-service restaurants at Disney World worth the hype?

Pro Planning Tip: We recommend using Jessica Lieb with ET Family Travel to book your Disney vacation!

Animal Kingdom

Several popular quick-service locations exist in Animal Kingdom, like Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Restaurantosauras. Restaurantosauraus in Dinoland is your classic theme park fare, like burgers and chicken nuggets. You’ve also got places like Harambe Market, which has different African-inspired dishes like chicken, bowls, and salads. Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe is a quick service option for Yak and Yeti in Asia with Americanized Chinese dishes.

Satu’li Canteen

The most popular quick-service location in Animal Kingdom is Pandora, the World of Avatar. Pandora is home to the most popular attraction in the Animal Kingdom, Flight of Passage; it’s also home to the most popular quick-service restaurant, Satu’li Canteen. You will find unique options like customizable bowls where you can select a base, protein, and sauce. They also have an Ahi tuna bowl and cheeseburger pods. The food selection at Satu’li Canteen is unique and not something you’ll see at many theme parks.

The theme of Satu’li Canteen takes place after the first Avatar movie. After the Resources Development Administration (RDA) was kicked out, Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) is now in charge of establishing tourism on Pandora. The Canteen was the commissary for the RDA troops when they lived in Pandora.

The most popular entrees at Satu’li Canteen are their customizable bowls. Choose a base option like sweet and red potatoes, noodles, red beans, rice, or a hearty salad to create a customizable bowl. Then, select a protein like chicken, steak, shrimp, or chili-spiced tofu. Finally, choose a sauce like charred green onion vinaigrette, black bean vinaigrette, or creamy herb sauce. All bowls are topped with crunchy vegetable slaw and boba balls.

Another popular entree at Satu’li Canteen is the Cheeseburger Pods. Cheeseburger pods is a boa bun full of everything you want in a cheeseburger like a Big Mac. The cheeseburger pods are available on the kid’s and adult menus. The adult portion comes with two steamed cheeseburger pods and a selection of 2 sides. The kid’s portion has one cheeseburger pod, a choice of 2 sides, and a kid’s drink. Add a side of the creamy herb dressing, which is essentially ranch.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is the Disney park that is the weakest in terms of food options. At Magic Kingdom, you have many quick-service options like Casey’s Corner, Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, and Columbia Harbour House. Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square, you will find lobster rolls, grilled shrimp, and fish and chips. Pecos Bills Tall Tale, which is in Frontierland, has Tex-Mex quick-service food. But for quick service in Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is the most popular.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is the most popular quick-service location in Magic Kingdom. They have more classic theme park fare, like cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and chicken sandwiches. This restaurant is massive and is almost always busy.

The main reason you come to Cosmic Ray’s is not the food; it’s the intergalactic jazz singer, Sonny Eclipse. Sonny Eclipse is an animatronic crooner in the indoor dining area of Cosmic Ray’s, which will entertain and delight diners.

Cosmic Ray’s a solid burger, like the Angus bacon cheeseburger, comes with a side. They also have good chicken tenders, which are great for even the pickiest eaters. They occasionally have specialty sandwiches and seasonal treats that are worth trying. If you’ve got a big group or fussy eaters, Cosmic Ray’s is ideal, especially since there aren’t many better options in Magic Kingdom.

A few top quick-service locations at EPCOT include La Cantina de San Angel, Regal Eagle Smokehouse, and Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie. La Cantina de San Angel in Mexico has delicious tacos and margaritas. Regal Eagle in the American Adventure pavilion is your go-to spot for excellent barbecue. You can find savory offerings like Quiche Lorraine and Croque-Monsieur at Les Halles Boulangerie in France.

Connections

Connections is one of the newest eateries in EPCOT. On one side, you’ve got Connections Cafe, your Starbucks; on the other, you’ve got the Connections Eatery. On the menu, you’ll see a variety of classic theme park foods like burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and salads. However, Connections makes everything in-house and provides a more elevated experience than other quick-service places.

One of the signature items at Connections includes the French Bistro Burger. The French Bistro Burger is a gourmet beef blend burger with caramelized onion, bacon, brie cheese, sauteed mushrooms, dijon mayonnaise, and a brioche bun. Connections also serve hearty kids’ meals like a large slice of cheese pizza with two sides and a drink.

The quality of the food at Connections is good; however, with so many other fantastic food options in EPCOT, it may not be your first choice. Connections is ideal for groups, especially those with picky eaters. The desserts at Connections are quite lovely, especially the liege waffle. The classic Liege waffle has strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.

Docking Bay 7 has more exotic flavors like Hot Chicken and Pork Ribs.

Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is a quick service location in Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios. It’s set up to look like a lunch box that Andy’s mom packed. On the menu at Woody’s Lunch Box, you’ve got a variety of sandwiches, including a barbecue brisket melt, a three cheese grilled sandwich, and their signature item, the totchos, which are tater tot nachos. They are also known for their lunchbox tarts, similar to pop tarts.

The theming at Woody’s Lunchbox is adorable, as is all of the theming in Toy Story Land. You can see Andy’s thermos, animal crackers, and celery sticks, and you can even sit on cheese. Toy Story Land is adorable, especially at night when it’s all lit up.

One of the most popular items on the menu is the iconic totchos, which are potato barrels topped with chili, queso, cheese, scallions, sour cream, and Fritos. There is also a plant-based version of the totchos available. For kids, the grilled cheese sandwich comes with half a grilled cheese, two sides like tater tots, tomato soup, and a drink.
