A few years ago Joe and I took a walking food tour with Taste Carolina Food Tours. A tour guide walked us around the city sharing unique historical facts about buildings and local sites. Along the way, we stopped at several local restaurants for a sampling of their best fare or drinks. It was a fun way to learn more about Raleigh and try some of the local flavors. Play Video Games
Our anniversary a few years ago was spent playing video games at Boxcar Bar + Arcade. We had a blast playing classic and newer video games together.
Distillery Tour
Take a tour of a local distillery, Old Raleigh Distillery. See how North Carolina’s best small-batch bourbon is made. The tour includes a tasting.
Try Rock Climbing
Test your strength and agility at the Triangle Rock Club. Traingle Rock Club has a great first time climbers program that helps introduce you to rock climbing.
Go for a Hike
Put on your hiking shoes, pack a picnic and hit the trails at Umstead State Park. Makes sure you head down one of the trails that takes you to the incredible chainsaw art. We love going for family hikes, I think our next day date should be a hike.

Take a cooking class together at Sur la Table. Create a delicious and memorable meal with someone special. Group cooking classes are fun, educational and most of all full of flavor.
Escape the Tower
Work together as a couple to escape the Tower Escape Room. The historic tower is home to Tower Escapes which has 3 distinctly unique escape rooms with varying levels of difficulty.
Comedy Show
Laughing is good for healthy relationships. Raleigh has a couple great comedy clubs where you can see outstanding comedy shows. Check out Goodnight’s Comedy Club and ComedyWorx.
