Fashion for Mom
When you hear the word “fashion” what comes to mind?
For me it’s this David Bowie song:
Honestly, I’ve never been very “fashionable”. I like to pretend that I dance to the beat of my own drum but really I just don’t know what I’m doing. Sometimes I can “fake” it but most of the time being fashionable is a lot of work for me.
However, since I’m not pregnant and I’m working on losing this baby weight I’m attempting to revamp my wardrobe. Yesterday, I was able to go shopping by myself and as I got in the car I realized I had no idea where to even go to shop for clothes. My autopilot took me to Target where I bought this sweater and then I ended up a Costo (I’m slowly turning into my mom). So after a failed attempt to go shopping I decided to head home a do a little research. I challenged myself to assemble a complete fall/winter outfit (costs not considered). I shopped all over the web at stores familiar and new. Here is what I came up with…
Here’s what I picked:
Anne Taylor Loft Modern Straight Leg Jean in Perfectly Worn Wash
Lands End Circle Cardigan Sweater
Old Navy Shirred V-Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt – Oceanic
Miz Mooz Paz Wedge Boot
Melissa Tyson Leaf Necklace
ikabags – Medium Canvas Diaper Bag in Coral Red
I really like it and think it defines my style and personality.

If you’re in a fashion rut I challenge you to create your perfect outfit.
I may never be “fashionable” but as long as I’m not wearing Mom Jeans, I think I’m doing OK.
