Last night Joe and I celebrated out 4th wedding anniversary. I haven’t had sushi in a really long time so we decided to go to Sono Sushi for dinner. We went to Sono last year for our 3rd Anniversary so we thought we’d go again this year. The only difference is this year we brought Noah with us and last year we didn’t even know I was pregnant. (I was probably only a few weeks along)
We started out our dinner with the Pork Gyoza dumplings appetizer. They were really delicious and a nice warm contrast to our fresh sushi that was to come. We ordered 4 rolls to share; 2 Vegetable Tempura Rolls, 1 Piano Roll and 1 Nippon Spider Roll. They were all very delicious and I would get them again. I think the Nippon Spider might be my new favorite. We even ordered dessert, we got the flour less Chocolate Torte. It was amazing. Sometimes chocolate tortes can be too rich but this one had the perfect balance between sweet and savory.
We had a lovely evening, even with our third wheel. It’s always nice to be able to go on dates with my husband. We talked about life, laughed and just enjoy each others company.

As most of you know over the weekend our little family ventured to Asheville, NC so I could attend the Type-A Mom Conference. I was excited to have my boys come along even though I knew I wouldn’t see them much. Knowing Joe, I gave him a list of fun activities he could do with…
I think most adults have made their fair share of poor financial choices, I know Joe and I have. We are working hard to recover from financial mistakes we made many years ago and I’m determined to teach my boys how to be financially responsible so they don’t have to endure the hardship we have….
Abel is a pretty easygoing baby but some nights getting him to sleep can be tough. He doesn’t always like to be swaddled but on the nights when nothing seems to be helping him I wrap him in the Halo SwaddleSure and it’s like magic. He almost always falls asleep within a few minutes. I’m not…
Aside from all the typical boy things like pirates, cars, tools and space ships Jude loves princesses. I totally get it princesses are awesome and fairy tales are for both boys and girls. The story usually involves some evil villain or dragon and of course a brave prince to save the day. So I wasn’t…
Joe and I finally joined the 21st century and got smart phones. We choose the iPhone 3Gs because we wanted to keep our current plan and you can get the 3Gs model for less than the 4G. We’re on a budget folks. Immediately we fell in love with our phones and wondered why we hadn’t…
