Last night Joe and I celebrated out 4th wedding anniversary. I haven’t had sushi in a really long time so we decided to go to Sono Sushi for dinner. We went to Sono last year for our 3rd Anniversary so we thought we’d go again this year. The only difference is this year we brought Noah with us and last year we didn’t even know I was pregnant. (I was probably only a few weeks along)
We started out our dinner with the Pork Gyoza dumplings appetizer. They were really delicious and a nice warm contrast to our fresh sushi that was to come. We ordered 4 rolls to share; 2 Vegetable Tempura Rolls, 1 Piano Roll and 1 Nippon Spider Roll. They were all very delicious and I would get them again. I think the Nippon Spider might be my new favorite. We even ordered dessert, we got the flour less Chocolate Torte. It was amazing. Sometimes chocolate tortes can be too rich but this one had the perfect balance between sweet and savory.
We had a lovely evening, even with our third wheel. It’s always nice to be able to go on dates with my husband. We talked about life, laughed and just enjoy each others company.

Joe and I try to go on a date about once a month but finding a sitter that is available when we want to go out can be a challenge. We have a handful of sitters that we use and Joe is usually the one that schedules the sitters. He usually texts or emails different…
I think a woman should be free to breastfeed her baby anywhere she likes however I try to be discreet and use a cover in certain situations. If I’m wearing an outfit that makes discreet nursing difficult or we are in a large crowd I typically use a cover. This is mostly out of respect…
Life is busy. I have to be very intentional about making room in our schedule to connect with my family. A few weeks ago we got to test out the new 2014 Toyota Highlander. I decided to take this opportunity to an plan some much needed family time. Make Room for Family The weekend we…
My favorite household chore is vacuuming. I know weird right? Who has a favorite chore? I guess I enjoy it because the machine does most of the work and you can see immediate results. I like instant gratification. Our current home has more carpet than any of our previous homes so our old vacuum was…
Jude is at the age where he gets bored rather quickly, especially while riding in the car. We don’t have a DVD player in our car so he is limited to the toys we can take on the car. Most of the time his toys end up on the floor and I end up digging…
Today is the first day of spring but it’s rather cold and rainy here in North Carolina. In fact, I’m still feeling a bit under the weather as I recover from a virus. Scotties Tissues have been a huge blessing during these past winter months as our family has fought off several nasty colds and…
