I’ve been wanting a new vacuum for some time now. I’ve actually never owned a full-size vacuum and although we only have carpet upstairs in our home, I feel it’s been somewhat neglected. With baby #2 on the way and Jude showing signs of allergies I’ve been obsessed with making sure my home is super clean. That is why I was thrilled to try out Bissell’s Healthy Home Vacuum.
The Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum is great for filtering out allergens and debris.
Features Include:
Non-Stop Suction
Airetight® HEPA Filtration System
Microban® Antimicrobial Protection
The Healthy Home Vacuum requires a small amount of assembly, but I was able to put it together by myself in about 15 minutes. I first tested it on the rug in our living room, honestly I don’t think that rug has been this clean in years. The Health Home Vacuum has really great suction. I like that you can turn the brush off and adjust the height for cleaning tall pile carpet or hard surface floors. Next I used it to clean the carpet on our stairs. I used the Turbo Brush hose attachment which was super easy to install and use. You don’t have to adjust any settings to use the hose and it’s attachments, just turn on the vacuum and viola. I did find it a little difficult to manage the vacuum on the stairs since it’s a little big and heavy. Finally, I tackled the upstairs bedrooms. After I finished vacuuming the upstairs the debris bin was completely full, which is kind of embarrassing but also shows how superior this vacuum is to my previous one. Emptying the bin was easy, just push a button and the bin pops out and you can dump the contents in the trash.
Final Thoughts
I’ve always enjoyed vacuuming (I like seeing the immediate results) but now I find myself looking for new things to vacuum. I may tackle the blinds soon, using the telescoping extension wand and crevice tool. Overall, I would most certainly recommend the Healthy Home Vacuum, especially to anyone concerned with allergens in their home. The only cons I’ve found so far is that the vacuum is a bit heavy and not as agile as some high price vacuums. However, it is a great quality vacuum and I really love the HEPA Filtration and Microban Antimicrobial Protection. I feel like my home is ready for baby #2 and I’m extremely happy with my Bissell
