Beginning October 1, Souplantation/ Sweet Tomatoes will expand the catering options in four test regions including San Diego, Dallas, Houston and North Carolina by offering individual box lunches with salad sandwich wraps.
Each salad sandwich wrap is low calorie and made using a flaxseed oil whole-grain tortilla. There are five selections to choose from including Very Vegetarian, Curried Chicken, Tantalizing Tuna, Classic Chicken Caesar Salad and Wonton Chicken Happiness Salad. Catering box lunches start at $9.95 per person and include a freshly-prepared salad sandwich wrap, chips and a Souplantation famous chocolate chip cookie.
Last week my friend Andrea threw a little get together for the girls and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out Sweet Tomatoes Catering. We received 12 boxed lunches with a variety of salad sandwich wraps. Each box was nicely presented with a wrap, Sun Chips and a chocolate chip cookie. I tried the Wonton Chicken Happiness Salad which was very yummy. I really liked the dressing which was severed on the side in a small container so you could apply as much or as little as you like.
Other guests tried the different wraps and had differing opinions. I think the least exciting wrap was the Very Vegetarian. Although I didn’t try it those that did said it was a little bland. However, most everyone enjoyed their sandwiches and the cookies were a big hit all around! If I were hosting a lunch I would most certainly consider a Sweet Tomatoes Catered box lunch. There are a lot of options and you feel good about your lunch decision.
I wish my camera hadn’t died right before the party or I would have taken a picture, but trust me they were yum looking.
