I’m pretty sure my husband, Joe is addicted to coffee. But not just any coffee will do, he has a refined coffee palate and will only drink freshly roasted organic coffee. Honestly, before I met him I didn’t even know I to make a pot of coffee and now I’m married to a former barista who is obsessed with coffee. So when it comes to reviewing coffee I don’t even try to give my opinion because I am completely ignorant when it comes to all things coffee.
Here are Joe’s expert thoughts:
Joe Van Gogh’s Organic Papua New Guinea Purosa is the best smelling package we’ve received all year. The beans were roasted the day before we got them, so they were really fresh. I wanted to make something special with this coffee, so I had it ground coarse and cold-brewed it overnight with a little bit of chicory, resulting in a smooth New Orleans style iced coffee. It was quite delicious, and as it turned out, very popular with the guys at work. If I had it to do over again, I might not share next time around.
I think he liked it!

Yesterday Jude came running inside yelling, “I got attacked by bosquitos!” Every summer afternoon around 4pm our backyard is a mosquito playground. We’ve done landscaping to try and create a less mosquito friendly environment but until we can convince our neighbor to clean up his junkyard backyard we will probably always have a mosquito problem….
Jude is a task driven child. If he doesn’t have a project to do he will create one which sometimes means I get my furniture rearranged or closet completely emptied. So this summer I will be spending a lot of time engaging Jude with different activities to keep his busy little brain occupied. Since he…
You may or may not know that we are a cloth diapering family. We use cloth for a variety or reasons but we primarily use cloth because we think it’s the best all-around diapering option. We are very confident in our cloth diapering. However, we are all over the place with other diapering products like…
I know it’s only October but December will be here before you know it. Some people finished holiday shopping before the 4th of July but I’m not one of those people. I like to wait until the last minute, rush around and buy subpar gifts… unless of course they are personalized gifts. I LOVE giving…
The past 4 weeks have been a challenge due to Abel’s breastfeeding struggles. I’ve spent a good deal of time hooked up to a breast pump to insure he is well fed. Sitting attached to a machine can be pretty boring but thankfully I have my iPad mini and Netflix Streaming. I’ve almost complete the…
