Who doesn’t love Winnie the Pooh? I love reading Pooh books when I was young and I love that he is still around for Jude to enjoy.
On occasion we’ve seen My Friends Tigger and Pooh but Jude has never seen enough to really recognize it until we received the My Friends Tigger and Pooh: Bedtime with Pooh DVD. Now he loves watching Pooh and his friends go on mystery solving adventures across the Hundred Acre Wood. And I am always a big fan of books and shows that emphasize the importance of bed time and bed time routines. Any mom knows that putting your child to bed can be a challenge but when you have your child’s favorite characters backing you up it helps.
We love the episode where Eyeore is walking in his sleep. Eyeore is such a great character, probably one of my favorites. I also like the bonus episodes of Handy Manny.

Jude loves school because there are always projects to be done and games to be played. Since he’s been out of school for the summer I’ve struggled to keep him entertained, especially during the little boy’s nap time. We try to limit the amount of time our boys spend in front of a screen so…
I love to swim. Growing up I swam competitively and loved it. As I’ve gotten older I still enjoy swimming for leisure and exercise. But over the past few years the exercise bit has dwindled. I have a membership to our local Y, which has an indoor pool but I’ve yet to utilize the facilities…

Breastfeeding Noah has been a big challenge mostly in part to his tongue-tie issue. We are working very hard with him and are slowly seeing results as he learns to nurse. In the mean time I’m working on increasing my milk supply and teaching little Noah how to nurse. It’s not always easy but it…
Last week I saw The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of this movie all year and it did not disappoint. About The Hunger Games: Catching FireThe Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along…
Back in 2003 I first heard John Mark McMillan’s album Hope Anthology Volume One and was attracted to the raw lyrics of songs like “Hey Won’t You Come Around” and “Ominous”. Then in 2007 he released, Songs Inside the Sounds of Breaking Down another great album with some of my favorite songs like “Make You…
