We like to take day or weekend trips to various places across North Carolina. It’s a nice easy drive and it’s fun to discover so many great things that are just a short drive away. We like to visit Charlotte, the Queen City. Joe grew up in Charlotte so he has a lot of friends that still live there that we like to visit. We most often drive out there for the day but sometime soon I would love to stay overnight at the Ballantyne Hotel.
Talk about luxury and relaxation. I would love to spend the afternoon laying by the pool and being pampered by their spa. Then after all of that rejuvenation spend a night on the town enjoying all of the great fun that Charlotte has to offer.

When you think of Valentine’s Day I’m sure you think cards, chocolates and flowers. So how could I not include these in the B Mine Gift Guide? We invited a few friends over for a post-Christmas party last night and I instructed everyone to dig in. The Peanut Brittle…
