Jude is a little Houdini. Since he was about 15 months old he’s been able to get out of his old car seat. No matter how tight we adjusted the straps he still managed to get out. We’ve made our fair share of emergency stops along the interstate to put him back into his seat. And it’s not like we were using an old dated car seat, he got it for Christmas the year after he was born. Ultimately I think it was a design flaw, which makes me wonder about the overall safety of the old car seat to begin with.
So I was super excited to try out the new Safety 1st Complete Convertible Air Car Seat. We’ve been using the Complete Air for a little over a week now and he has yet to escape. Success! Not only does it keep him contained he no longer throws a fit when we try to put him in the car. I think it’s much more comfortable and probably much safer.
Installation and Use
Like most car seats today the Complete Air utilizes the LATCH system which makes installation a breeze. I really like the adjustable headrest which also adjusts the straps of the shoulder straps to the correct height. This ensures you have a good fit for your child. It did take me a little while to figure out how to tighten and loosen the straps but I really like that the straps are linked together so you don’t have to adjust one side at a time, you can simply even them out as needed. I think Jude likes the protective headrest which also makes taking a nap more comfortable and he likes the easily accessible cup holder.

Disney Pixar’s Cars 3 is cruising into theaters on June 16th, so to prepare for the racing excitement the boys and I took a little trip to the NC Museum of History to learn about the history of auto racing in North Carolina. We aren’t big NASCAR or racing fans but North Carolina’s racing history…
I love a fun hat on a little baby. Even though it’s 100 degrees outside I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of Noah wearing his new Beanie Designs Organic Cotton: Multi Color Baby Stocking Hat. Hopefully it will still fit his big head when the weather is finally cool enough to actually wear a…

School is out for summer and we’re having a blast. I’ve planned a lot of fun activities for the boys and we will be spending a lot of time outside. Between trips to the pool, beach and fun in our own backyard there are a few supplies we need to have the ultimate summer and…
We try to limit screen time for our boys but that means you have to have alternative activates ready for them. I’ve found that giving them a simple game or objective gets them moving and once they get moving their creative and active brains get going. Toysmith’s collection of Get Outside, GO! has some great…
Work smarter not harder. I love it when I find a product that is just plain smart. That is why I love the Activeion ionator HOM™. I know it sounds like a super-hero and to be honest (cause that what we do on this blog) it kind of is. At first glance the Ionator looks…
