Jude is a little Houdini. Since he was about 15 months old he’s been able to get out of his old car seat. No matter how tight we adjusted the straps he still managed to get out. We’ve made our fair share of emergency stops along the interstate to put him back into his seat. And it’s not like we were using an old dated car seat, he got it for Christmas the year after he was born. Ultimately I think it was a design flaw, which makes me wonder about the overall safety of the old car seat to begin with.
So I was super excited to try out the new Safety 1st Complete Convertible Air Car Seat. We’ve been using the Complete Air for a little over a week now and he has yet to escape. Success! Not only does it keep him contained he no longer throws a fit when we try to put him in the car. I think it’s much more comfortable and probably much safer.
Installation and Use
Like most car seats today the Complete Air utilizes the LATCH system which makes installation a breeze. I really like the adjustable headrest which also adjusts the straps of the shoulder straps to the correct height. This ensures you have a good fit for your child. It did take me a little while to figure out how to tighten and loosen the straps but I really like that the straps are linked together so you don’t have to adjust one side at a time, you can simply even them out as needed. I think Jude likes the protective headrest which also makes taking a nap more comfortable and he likes the easily accessible cup holder.

I’m always on the search for fun new afternoon snacks for Jude and I. I want something sweet and tasty but also low on the calories. Applesauce, Yogurt and Pudding are always a big hit. Lately, I’ve been loving the new Temptations by JELL-O snack cups. They have a fluffy whipped topping and smooth, creamy…
We all have dreams of being rich and famous. But as we all know from the tabloids that fame and fortune aren’t always so glamorous. But imagine with me if you will what your dream celebrity life might look like. Me. I’d prefer to be a famous movie producer. A little less fame and a…
Many moons ago I bought a skull and cross bones acrylic pendant from Michelle at a local craft market. I remember standing at her table just staring at all the beautiful things she had. I’m sure it looked like I was stalking her but I just had the hardest time deciding which piece to buy….

Last night Joe and I had a fabulous time at the Pandemonium show in Raleigh. I’ve seen Stomp twice so I was super excited but Joe had no idea what to expect. I think the show started a little late because there was an ultra long line at will call but that’s OK cause we…
I have a bit of a sweet tooth and chocolate is my weakness. Since I’ve been trying to eat healthier this year I’ve drastically cut back on the amount of sweets I’ve eaten. But every once in awhile I need something sweet to satisfy my cravings but rather than reaching for a calorie filled candy…
