I started homeschooling because of my son's ADHD diagnosis. I'm local to you so feel free to contact me if you want to hear about homeschool groups in the area. My biggest struggle right now is finding friends for my little girl who just turned 5. Our neighborhood is filled with boys and whenever we meet up with other homeschoolers, they are older boys. She's desperate to find a girl her age to play with. I had her in ballet but the girls there knew each other already and would leave my daughter out. When we go to the park, she eagerly goes up to little girls and introduces herself but she gets the cold shoulder a lot. I don't understand why.

I homeschool my 3 kids, ages 11, almost 10, and 5. We do it year-round and only take off for holidays or 1 week family vacations. When your baby arrives, maybe you can just do a modified schedule and do a little bit each day.

Good luck on your homeschool journey. A lot of people use their last name for the school name.
