I have the same rule for carts, too. If you aren’t in it (or a stroller..etc), you have to hold on to it. I actually bought those jumbo mama clips (http://www.amazon.com/The-Mommy-Hook-Black-Pad/dp/B000JFEV1K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382984637&sr=8-1&keywords=mommy+clip) in the boys’ favorite colors to help with the holding on if you aren’t in the stroller/cart. Works wonderfully!

And, I have got to try out the “good all week play a video game on sunday” LOVE it!!
